Tribute: Interview With A Vampire

Step aside Twilight and let the real vampires through! Yes people a classic that is a gem. Interview with a Vampire based on the book by Anne Rice.
The story about a vampire named Louis (Brad Pitt) who tells the tale of  his journey from mortality to immortality that was bestowed upon him by the charismatic Lestat (Tom Cruise).
Through out the movie you are introduced to the ups and down of being immortal. The beautiful vampire drama and bloodlust is what makes this movie so awesome! And the child vampire Claudia (Kirsten Dunst) helps bring even more to an already awesome story.
Its not just the actors that bring this wonderful story to life, but the story itself is something to behold. Yes the vampires are dramatic and at times pitiful, but you forgive them their drama because it ties in with their immortal lives.
Anyone who is a vampire flick lover will have this on their shelves (I certainly do). Those who don't and prefer their vampires twinkling, don't know what they are missing. I recommened Interview with a Vampire indefinatly!

11/11/11

D: Ladies and gentlemen, step right up and get ready for another movie about the end of the world and the anti-Christ, and the horrors of the number 11! Though the only horror was that this movie was allowed to exist.
First off in the beginning we are shown a happy new years party going on when suddenly at a certain time, everyone is murdered and the shooters commit suicide after the massacre. Ok, intrigued right? Wrong! Next we have a seemingly innocent family move into, you guessed it, the murder house.
Through out the movie you are bombarded with cryptic meanings behind the number 11, a father who is clueless about what is going on around him, a son who barely even speaks, creepy neighbors, and the weirdest cut scenes ever.
Towards the middle of the movie you don't care about any of the characters and you are bored beyond belief. And when something does happen, your still bored. Personally I think its trying to be like The Omen movie, and fails miserably. You are left with more questions than answers and frankly, you don't care if you get them and once the credits role your done with it. If your thinking of renting this movie, DON'T. Just rent The Omen. At least you'll see something good.

N: I thought that this movie was going to be more frightening. Most movies that involve possession or the end of the world are filled with suspense, and shocking twists, but I think at one point I passed out from bordom. In addition I can not possibly understand why someone would move into a house after a group of people had been murdered?  Also during the duration of the movie I realized a few things. Some tips if you may, that you should take note of in order to survive the end of the world and if you become involved with some child that is about to be reborn as satan. One: always suspect the creepy janitor. Two: Never hire a nanny unless you do a thorough background check...looks can be deceiving. Three: As D had mentioned about having "Creepy neighbors", in fact if you see a group of neighbors huddled in a smoke filled van that should give you an indication that something is dreadfully going on...you should at this time grab your family and drive as far as you can from the town. Which is what you will do if you see this film.

Tribute

N: I said this once and I will say it again, Tim Burton always delivers a great film, and Edward Scissorhands is one of his greatest masterpieces. In addition I don't think any other actor could of pulled this character off. This is a must see movie for any generation that seeks the thrill and wonder of a great movie. To those who haven't seen it, you MUST!

Wolf Town

D: Wolf Town, an independent film that is about four friends going to a ghost town that's been claimed by, you guessed it wolves. Hungry wolves who want nothing but to kill every last one of the characters.
And what a beginning. You first get swept away into the past to see the origins of the town and then when it gets interesting, out of nowhere you are back in the present wondering 'who is this loser'? Once you get to know any of the characters you discover that you really don't care about any of them. Especially the main character who you just want to slap. I tell you I have never seen anyone so whinny. Where did they get these guys? Plus the music. I tell you, I was expecting Willy Wonka to pop out. And that was just the beginning.
As the movie dribbles on you get more excited about the wolves coming out because all you want is for them to just kill each of the collage students (big surprise) so they can stop asking the dumbest questions and saying the most ridiculous lines ever! The only interesting part is when you start to learn about why the wolves are on a killing spree only to be disappointed in the end. Especially when they take their time in explaining the whole story. Thanks for the let down.
Aside from the cheap lines, bad acting, and lack of love for the characters, the only cool thing was that they used real wolves. My final rant; original idea guys, but not good enough. People, save your money, watch it on YouTube.

N: I do agree with D. This is the worse movie that I've seen by far. First I know that they used real wolves, but it seems like some of the footage of the wolves had been cut from old documentaries. Why on earth would someone be allowed to use old footage like that? I think the entire time I was paying more attention to the scenery than the characters, who by the way need to go back to acting class or find another career path. I had better things to do and will condemn this movie forever.
